Martin: Arrival

My name is Martin Walsh and I am the Hand Therapist for the Hand Surgical Team here in La Paz, Bolivia. The team arrived today Sunday April 10 early in the morning. Most of us had been traveling all day Saturday as well as Saturday night to La Paz. We were greeted at the airport by our host Surgeon Dr. Jorge Terrazas, who escorted the team on a short but beautiful descent into the city of La Paz at sunrise. The city of La Paz is surrounded my mountains and our first view of the city at sunrise was breathtaking.

You don't know me but I was the Hand Therapist on the trip last year. Are you at The Hospital del Nino again this year? Is Patty Jaramillo working with you? I loved the experience and know you will find it rewarding! I see from one of the photos that Pedro Cavadas is there again. Please tell him I said hello.

Do you speak Spanish? If you are at Hospital del Nino, please tell Ross Mary and Cristina (OR nurses) that I said hello and also Milton, the therapist. Thanks. I hope to hear from you!!
