Debbie Jefkin: Antidote to Urban Chaos

We landed in La Paz this morning, and immediately the environment began to weave a spell around us. It is a place where time has stood still. Although it is the capital of Bolivia and the country’s largest city, a relaxed calm is indelibly stamped into the La Paz character. It feels more like a big village than a city; more like an antidote to urban chaos than an immersion in it.
