Hooray! Bob Langert, who was our first blogger, talks about his experience with Interplast on the McDonald's corporate social responsibility blog.
Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) is our biggest donor, and in addition to the Loja, Ecuador surgical trip that inspired the Interplast blogs, RMHC has funded trips with blogs to:
2005
Cusco, Peru
Azogues, Ecuador
Puno, Peru
Chongqing, China (with video)
2006
Loja, Ecuador
Cusco, Peru
Azogues, Ecuador (with video)
They have also funded six trips over the past two fiscal years that have not had blogs, and over the years have funded some 60 Interplast trips!
Interplast started blogging back in January 2005 mainly because Bob wanted to find an easy way to tell the world about his experience in real time. The entire Interplast community liked the idea of blogging so much that we began to expand the blogging program to other surgical trips, then visiting educator workshops, then to site evaluation trips and we are still growing every day. So thanks for inspiring (and funding) us, Bob and RMHC!
