Dr. Alice Truscott, Interplast volunteer pediatrician from Berkeley, was in show business before becoming a pediatrician. She was a stage actor and in the movie “Birdie,” with Nicholas Cage, as well as a producer, director and screenwriter. In her early 40s, she decided that she wanted to be a doctor and went to medical school. While Alice does not act now, her drama background is helpful when seeing children.
