A Brighter Future
In April, we reported on a young Zambian girl who had been born with a difficult-to-look-at Tessier cleft. Her case was the subject of much discussion on Interpalst Grand Rounds (IGoR), Interplast's web-based collaboration platform.
Our partner in Zambia, Dr. Goran Jovic, (who is the only plastic surgeon in the country) used his tremendous skill and the advice he received on IGoR to achieve brilliant results. While this young girl still needs additional surgery, she is far along the road to being able to live a life or relative normalcy--thanks to Dr. Jovic and Interplast.
